This is perfect to cut out those though stains that you just can not get out! This design is a bit inspired by a comme des garcons mens jumper that I found somewhere on pinterest. Also it is a really extravagant version of the cut out sweater trend that we see in 2021.  It is just a jumper with plenty of cut outs. However, lock down already has us poor enough so to not break the bank we just do it ourselves, in this diy cut out sweater tutorial. We can easily mimic  the extraordinary design at home. Just take your don\'t wash it cut it cutter aka fabric sciccors. If you want to crop the sweater of make any adjustments in size or pockets etc, the time is now. My sweater was already sewn with the seams inside out, which really added a nice detail to the finished look so you might want to consider (if you have a serger or overlocker) to cut you sweater apart and sew it back together with the seems inside out for a real designer look. After that you can decide your cut outs by marking them on the inside. I used a ball point but it is better to use something that is easy to erase like chalk. I did not realize I would use the scraps as well to sew on there, so in the end I ended up cutting out the stains but then sewing some stains on there  again with the strips that I have sewn on. Soooo that is not the point of this experiment. So once you cut out everything you wanted with your sharp sciccors and you do not like to sew or don\'t know how; don\'t worry! you can just leave it like it is: congratulations, you have trashed/upcycled/down cycled a sweater and it is already super edgy and cool. But wait, there is more: You can cut strips of the cut out square scraps, this way you get spiral strips that look quite funky when you roll them out. Now you can  do a little bit of fabric modification by sewing on the strips on all the borders of the jumper. This takes the design really to the next level and makes all the difference between an basic upcycled sweater and a high-end looking avant-garde sweater on the level of Margiela or Comme des Garcons. I love this! I just hope it will come out great after washing as well, it might fray a little bit more and look a bit different after washing so you might want to consider washing it as little as possible. So I love the final result of this  super easy thrift flip. Also great for different styling options with the see-through effects of the cut outs.  IMO this is really the easiest but coolest diy cut out sweater on youtube!
