'The Old Fashioned Cocktail is arguably the original cocktail. Typically made with Bourbon, an Old Fashioned style cocktail can be made with any type of base spirit. In this episode, Charlotte Voisey makes and Old Fashioned with Flor de Caña Rum that has been aged seven years. Her palate tells her that this particular rum would pair nicely with orange, tobacco and chocolate. To heighten those particular notes, she adds a few dashes of coffee bitters.
