'(16 Jan 2020) TYGA, DIPLO, MIGOS, KRIS WU, BELLA HADID ATTEND LOUIS VUITTON MEN\'S SHOW Paris\'s Tuileries Gardens were glittering with music and fashion stars on Thursday afternoon, when artistic director Virgil Abloh presented the Louis Vuitton FW2020 menswear show. It took place in a temporary space, on a surrealistic set with the oversized tools of an artisan, such as scissors, thread, and a pencil. Though Abloh is known for his take on streetwear, this collection put an emphasis on tailoring, taking the traditional corporate suit and giving it a contemporary urban twist. As Abloh wrote in the show notes: don\'t let your day job define you. The collection opened with impeccable wool gabardine suits cut into slim silhouettes and worn with classic pinstripe shirts, matching ties and Chelsea boots. Gradually, the suits grew more eclectic—with slits throughout, integrated ruffles, or crafted of calf leather. The collection also included uber-luxurious pieces such as a metallized mink fur coat and an iridescent jumper in mink with wool intarsia. A cheery cloud motif adorned several looks as well as a new backpack. Accessories included metal tie clips and cufflinks with a ceramic finish, fluorescent pink caps and fingerless gloves, and, of course, a huge range of bags, from asymmetrical leather keepalls to briefcases with multifunctional straps.
